Privacy Policy for Match Calendar
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Match Calendar is published by Rabbit Hole Apps (“we,” “our,” or “us”). This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Match Calendar progressive web app at matchcalendar.web.app.
Match Calendar is a personal schedule and record for sports officials. It is separate from referee-society scheduling in MatchReadyTX, although both products may use the same Google or Apple sign-in through a shared Firebase project.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Account information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account information such as your email address and name, as permitted by your provider settings.
1.2 Schedule and records you enter
You may store match assignments and related details, including:
- Dates, times, locations, teams, positions, and fees
- Travel, lodging, ground transport, contacts, and notes
- Pay status, expenses, reimbursements, and tournament plans
- Calendar preferences such as default position and arrival timing defaults
This information is stored under your user account in Google Cloud Firestore when you are signed in.
1.3 Local and demo data
- Try demo loads sample data in your browser only; it is not written to our servers.
- Before sign-in, data may remain in browser local storage on your device.
- We use Firebase offline cache so schedules you have opened may remain readable offline.
1.4 Usage and diagnostic data
We may receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, app version, and diagnostic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
- Provide and sync your personal schedule and records
- Authenticate you and keep you signed in
- Improve reliability and security
- Respond to support requests
We do not:
- Sell personal information
- Show third-party ads
- Process payments through Match Calendar
- Send marketing newsletters or SMS
- Share your schedule with assigners, teams, or other users
3. Sharing
We use service providers that help us run the Service, including Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Hosting) and Apple (Sign in with Apple). Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
We do not share your Match Calendar records with other users. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
4. Shared sign-in with MatchReadyTX
Match Calendar and MatchReadyTX share a Firebase project. Signing in with the same account does not give Match Calendar access to your society’s MatchReadyTX assignments unless you use MatchReadyTX separately or authorize a future import feature.
Deleting only Match Calendar data removes your personal Calendar records but leaves your sign-in and MatchReadyTX profile intact. Deleting your profile and account removes your shared users document for this Firebase project and signs you out everywhere that project is used. MatchReadyTX organization membership may still exist until removed in MatchReadyTX.
5. Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed for security, backups, and legal compliance.
When signed in, you can delete Match Calendar data or your entire account from Profile in the app. See Delete account for step-by-step instructions.
6. Security
We use HTTPS and Firebase security rules designed to limit access to your own records. No system is perfectly secure.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
8. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information. Contact us to exercise those rights.
California residents: we do not sell personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. The in-app copy at matchcalendar.web.app/privacy will also be updated.
