Rabbit Hole Apps is Justin Hale and Marquise Goodwin. We build products we would use on a Saturday — on a pitch, a sideline, or in a classroom — then we make the interface good enough that other people will too.

Mission

Field-tested tools. Honest copy. Interfaces you can use under pressure. If it takes a training manual to confirm a match or talk to your crew, we are not done.

Why the name

Creating simple solutions to everyday problems. The apps are what we found down there.

Why the products work

We live the jobs: assigning, officiating, coaching, teaching.
We ship the smallest thing that actually helps on game day or Monday morning.
We obsess over the UI so the tool disappears and the work stays.

How we work

Every app started as a problem we could not ignore. Match confirmation that lived in email. Crews who could not afford radios. Coaching without film. Teaching without timely feedback. We follow that problem until the product is something we would hand a colleague without an apology.

Justin X. Hale

Co-founder · product designer

Justin designs and builds the products. By day he is a senior product designer. By weekend he is a rugby referee — MLR, RugbyTown 7s, Coral Coast 7s, national championships. He has been in the game since 2008 as a player and since 2017 as an official.

That mix is the method. He sits with assigners and their spreadsheets, with crews who cannot hear each other, with coaches who need numbers before the film arrives. Then he ships an interface that holds up in the sun, on a phone, with no time to think. If the UI is clumsy, the product is not ready — no matter how clever the backend is.

Marquise Goodwin

Co-founder · match official

Marquise is an MLR referee, vice president of the Southern California Rugby Referee Society, and a high school special education teacher. He knows what it costs when communication fails — on a pitch with three officials, and in a classroom where feedback comes too late to help.

He is the field voice of the company. If a tool would not survive a real match, a real crew, or a real Monday with students, it does not ship. TO3 exists because he and Justin were tired of expensive radios and silence. ReflectED exists because teachers and coaches deserve coaching that is frequent, fair, and actually useful.
