Terms of Use for RefLog
Last updated: 4 September 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you”) and Rabbit Hole Apps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for the RefLog mobile application and related pages on rabbitholeapps.com (collectively, the “Service”).
RefLog helps rugby referees and coaches log matches, code events, and export reports. The app is local-first: your match data is stored on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
By installing or using RefLog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are

Support: RefLog Support
Privacy: RefLog Privacy Policy
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use RefLog. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
If you use RefLog on behalf of a club, society, or employer, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use RefLog on devices you own or control, for personal or professional officiating and coaching purposes.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app except as allowed by law or app-store rules
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where prohibited by law
- Use RefLog for unlawful purposes or to harass, defame, or harm others
- Remove or alter proprietary notices
Your use is also subject to applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms when you install RefLog from those stores.
4. No account required
RefLog does not require a login today. Match data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up data by exporting PDF or Excel files before deleting matches or uninstalling the app.
We may offer optional accounts, cloud sync, or paid features in the future. If we do, we will update these Terms and the Privacy Policy before those features launch.
5. Your content
RefLog lets you create User Content, including match details, team names, event logs, notes, coach observations, and optional voice recordings in Coach Mode.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using the app, you grant us a license to process that content only on your device to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your match data.
You represent that:
- You have the right to log the information you enter (including names of players, officials, and venues)
- Your User Content does not violate law or third-party rights
- Exported reports you share are your responsibility
RefLog is a personal logging and analysis tool. It is not an official reporting system for any rugby union or competition. You remain responsible for any reports you submit to governing bodies.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use RefLog to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt the app
- Misrepresent match outcomes or official decisions in exported documents presented as authoritative federation records
We may suspend or discontinue the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
RefLog, the RefLog name, logos, UI, and documentation are owned by Rabbit Hole Apps or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding except as needed to use the app as intended.
8. Feedback
If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant us the right to use it without compensation or attribution, to improve RefLog and our other products.
9. Disclaimers
RefLog is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that RefLog will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that exported data will meet the requirements of any specific competition or assessor.
RefLog does not provide legal, officiating, or coaching advice. Clocks, scores, and event codes are tools for your own records.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rabbit Hole Apps and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of RefLog.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for RefLog in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rabbit Hole Apps from claims arising out of your User Content, your use of RefLog, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of RefLog after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
