Privacy Policy for RefLog

Last updated: 24 August 2026

RefLog (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the RefLog mobile app.

1. Local-first

RefLog is built around privacy. All match data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your matches, notes, or other content on our servers.

2. Information we collect

RefLog collects very little:

  • Device information (optional, for diagnostics): device model, OS version, app version
  • Crash and performance data (optional): crash logs and diagnostics for stability

We do not currently collect:

  • Account information (RefLog does not require a login)
  • Personal identifying information
  • Usage analytics
  • Match data or anything you create in the app

3. How we use it

Optional diagnostic information is used only to:

  • Diagnose crashes and technical issues
  • Improve stability
  • Respond when you contact us for support

We do not sell or rent information to third parties.

4. Storage

Match data is stored locally in encrypted storage on your device (Hive). It never leaves the device unless you:

  • Export a PDF or Excel file and share it yourself
  • Contact support and choose to send screenshots or details

We cannot see your local match data.

5. Future cloud features

We plan optional cloud features later, including backup, sync, and sharing matches with coaches.

When those ship:

  • They will be optional — local-only use will still work
  • We will update this policy with how cloud data is handled
  • Authentication and cloud storage will use a secure provider (likely Firebase or Supabase)

6. Third-party services

RefLog currently uses:

  • Flutter — cross-platform app framework (Google)
  • Firebase Core — crash-reporting infrastructure (ready, not actively sending match data)

Those services may collect minimal diagnostics under Google’s Privacy Policy.

7. Security

  • Match data is encrypted on the device
  • Nothing is sent to the cloud unless you export it
  • The app is distributed through the App Store and Google Play

8. Your control

  • Uninstall the app to remove all local data
  • Export PDFs or Excel files and decide who sees them
  • No account, so there is no account to manage

9. Changes

We may update this policy as features land, especially cloud features. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
